A Letter from Our President (That's me!)
As of June 1, 2022, I accepted the role as President of the Montgomery Art Association! I am so excited to be further involved with this fantastic organization. Any artists in the DC area that are looking to join a fabulous group that fosters learning, creates show opportunities, and provides tons of artistic events from museum field trips to plein air outings and more, please talk to me and check out the MAA website! A LETTER FROM OUR PRESIDENT
Hello MAA Artists!
It is an honor and a privilege to serve as your president this year. Having been a member of MAA for nine years, I have loved watching the organization grow and evolve. As I move from my role as vice president of programs to president, I can’t wait to experience a different angle of this great group and continue working with the most amazing, talented, and dedicated board. It is all their hard work and generosity that makes MAA run so smoothly. I know I have big shoes to fill, as Alan Rich has been such a wonderful president.
A little about me: I am an oil painter deeply inspired by food and sweets, the gooier the better. French macarons are my muse, and I scour the bakeries in the area for great treats to paint (and eat!). I am 45 years old and live in Potomac with my husband, two kids (ages 13 and 10) and Labradoodle puppy appropriately named Macaron (Mac for short).
As I start my term, I look forward to getting to know you and hear how MAA can serve you and the community. This organization is ever-evolving for the better. Reach out with MAA suggestions, event ideas, or to just say hi at [email protected].
